WE NEED YOUR HELP

 

On reading the introductory page, we hope you'll see that Caithness Horizons is a celebration of the whole of Caithness.  We are delighted to be able to encapsulate the treasures of the area in the refurbished Thurso Town Hall and Carnegie Library, while cross-promoting many other visitor attractions throughout Caithness to the benefit of everyone.

 

The project has already attracted financial support from its three founder members - Thurso Heritage Society, the Highland Council and UKAEA - as well as assistance from a wide range of funding bodies including the Heritage Lottery Fund, HIE Caithness and Sutherland, the European Regional Development Fund, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Historic Scotland, Scottish Natural Heritage and the Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust.

 

Inevitably, with a project of this nature, there is always the need for funding and, if you'd like to be part of this inspiring new building, you could consider becoming a Friend or a Patron.

 

Both Schemes will be launched in the next few months and information will be available through the website.
